WHAT

What determines our ethnicities? Our communities who are considered SE Asians are categorized as so because of the region of Asia we came from, or our ancestry is of SE Asian descent. But be careful and do not get confused about different ethnic groups from SE Asia though! Because of its location to so many other bordering countries, SE Asia is home to hundreds of communities. While they may represent the same nationality, they might not come from the same ethnic backgrounds, or speak the same languages. In addition, in the more rural locations, you may also find lots of indigenous hilltribe groups too!
